L-Isoleucine, also known as L-2-Amino-3-methylvaleric acid, is an essential branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) that cannot be synthesized by the human body and must be obtained through diet. It is one of the three branched-chain amino acids, along with L-leucine and L-valine.
