Friulano is the most well known and important variety producing crisp, floral wines that develop notes of nuts and fennel.
Grape VARIETY: Friulano single varietal wine.
TYPE OF TERRAIN: Argillaceous, Calcareous, rich in microelements.
CULTIVATION: Guyot, planting density 4.000 Plants/Ha.
HARVEST PERIOD: End of September.
VINIFICATION: 48 hour pre-fermentation cold maceration, soft grape pressing, fermentation at a controlled temperature and later maturation in steel basins for several months.
CELLARING POTENTIAL: 2-3 years from production.
COLOUR: Straw yellow, tending towards greenish.
NOSE: Fine, delicate, intense characterised by notes of fruit and flowers.
FLAVOUR: Fresh, dry, soft, smooth to the palate with distinct flavour, almond's taste. Very full with good acidity.
PAIRINGS: Ideal as an aperitif, pairs well with soups, broths and savoury fish dishes.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: Approx. 10 - 12 C.
