Grapeseed Carrier & Cooking Oil Refined 1 Gallon: C
Cosmetic and food grade oil. Vegetable Oils are sometimes referred to as fixed oils because they are not as volatile (easy to evaporate) as Essential Oils. Most essential oils are so strong that a little goes a long way. Essential oils should be diluted in carrier oils for use in massage. Vegetable Oils make an excellent base in which to dilute essential oils for body care products. Our vegetable oils are 100% pure and natural. No preservatives - 100%-natural grapeseed oil. Grapeseed Oil, like almond and apricot kernal oil, is popular for use in massage blends. It is rich in skin-friendly linolenic acids, has a light, nutty flavor and is food and cosmetic grade. Grapeseed oil is a good second choice carrier especially for those whose skin seems not to absorb other oils very quickly. It does not leave a greasy feeling to the skin after application. Slightly astringent, it tightens and tones the skin. Does not aggravate acne. Odorless, penetrating, and very light. Our cosmetic oils (such as Lanolin or Shea Butter) also work well as carriers for essential oils and moisturizers. Grapeseed oil is also an ideal salad dressing, cooking , frying & baking oil that raises HDL (good cholesterol) and lowers the LDL (bad cholesterol), reducing a primary risk factor for heart disease. Grapeseed Oil, a byproduct of wine production, has been a favorite of European chefs for hundreds of years due to its many fine qualities as an edible oil. Recent studies have demonstrated that grapeseed oil may also be effective in correcting blood cholesterol levels in certain individuals, thereby reducing their risk of cardiac events. Today's focus is not simply total cholesterol, but rather the levels of HDL (the good cholesterol) and LDL (the bad cholesterol), and the ratio of HDL to total cholesterol. Major studies have confirmed that for each percent increase in HDL, there is a 3-4% decrease in the incidence of cardiac events. In two studies conducted by Dr. Grapeseed oil is one of the few natural foods known to raise HDL. HDL appears to reduce LDL by loosening it from the arterial walls so it can be carried to the liver for elimination. Grapeseed oil is also an excellent natural source of vitamin E and essential fatty acids necessary for normal cell metabolism and maintenance. By increasing the HDL in your blood, and reducing the LDL and triglycerides, through healthy diet and exercise, you may be adding years of wellness to your life. Assmann G; Schulte H.
