Today Pakistan stands among the top ten citrus producers countries in the world. The kinnow/mandarin is a member of citrus family and was developed through a lengthy hybridization process of lemon. It is grown in the plain areas of punjab and its season starts from december and goes up till april. It grows under natural conditions, which gives it a natural flavour. The fruit is sun ripened on the trees and then carefully hand picked at the precisely correct stage of ripeness. It is then transported in plastic boxes to modren processing plant where it is meticulously stored to eliminate damaged or unripe fruit. The approved fruit is passed on to the computerised plant for washing, waxing and grading. To avoid damage fruit is packed in cartonswith protective layer of sheet to amke it more safe.
