The Canning Industries Cochin Ltd, was floated at Thrissur in March 1947 with an authorised capital of Rs. 5 Lakhs .Today CAICO is a well known popular brand with a diverse product range that includes Canned Fruits and vegetables, Canned and frozen Sea foods, Beverages, Jams, Pickles, sauces etc. In the course of its career CAICO has won many laurels for itself including the first Prize for Canned fruits at the national competetion conducted by the food department, Government of India and the 1982 State Award for outstanding export performance.
CAICO has proudly served the nation these years. It has provided more than 500 jobs and earns substantial foreign exchange annually. CAICO has always been pledged to the good of the nation and people everywhere.
