Natural beta carotene is a substance extract from sweet potato, carrot and alga. Its main compositions is ß-carotene, thenα-carotene, γ-carotene, δ-carotene and other carotene. Its appearance is red brown to reddish purple or orange red powder or ropy liquid with slight special odor. It has good heat stability and acid stability. But it has bad light stability. It is not dissolved in water, slight dissolved in alcohol and grease. It is easily oxidated, so keep away from air. It is not only natural food colors but nutrition enhancer.
