GISA WINES is a premium South Australian wine producer, making wine is several different wineries throughout South Australia.
South Australia representing only 9% of the Australian population and is home of the wine industry in Australia, producing approximately 50 % of all wine produced in Australia.
GISA wines takes its name from the patriotic nature of the owner, making wine from fruit that only comes from the wine growing regions within South Australia. GISA stands for Geographic Indicator South Australia. The GI is the region from which fruit is sourced, and is a legal requirement, when making statements as to the origin of the wine on
the labels.
The current range of wines are made using a combination of traditional winemaking techniques, Basket pressing, hand plunging and the best modern practices to capture the character of the Grapes. The philosophy is simply to make wines that reflect firstly the variety, secondly the region and with minimal vintage variation.
