Brewing instruction: Use 3-4 grams of Mao Jian tea leaves and water just below boiling temperature (around 80 degrees Celsius).  First rinse the tea once for washing, and afterwards you can steep the tea up to five or six times. Infuse the tea anywhere from a few seconds to one minute depending on your personal taste. Remember keep a layer of water in the glass to avoid causing the tea to dry out and lose its taste.

The leaves of this tea will sink to the bottom of a glass container, therefore it's possible to use a glass cup to drink this tea. Xinyang Mao Jian Tea can be steeped 3 to 4 times while maintaining its excellent taste. Since northern China has a relatively cold climate, the harvest season for Xinyang Mao Jian Tea is relatively late and the leaves are smaller.
