Pipas® (Available only in Argentina)
Pipas® is a trademark of ARGENSUN, leader in the toasted and salted sunflower Seed Argentine market. Based on the knowledge gained from various international markets, in 1997 our company developed a product of the best quality and image, which from the very start became the market referent and an important event in the local candy industry.
“Pipas®” are prepared from carefully selected confection sunflower seeds, which go through a toasting and salting process and are then fractionated in 0.63 oz (18 g) packs. Their nutritional characteristics are quite distinctive –rich in folic acid, iron, vitamin E, and pantothenic acid. They also provide unsaturated fatty acids (linoleic and oleic).
PRODUCTS
In its processing plant in Cortines, Buenos Aires Province, ARGENSUN produces different types of products:
“Pipas®”: toasted and salted sunflower seeds.
“Hulled Pipas®”: hulled salted sunflower seeds
“Sweet Pipas®”: hulled sunflower seeds, toasted and caramel-coated.
