General Information
T&T Istanbul Sweets and Snacks Exhibition, a new meeting point for confectionery industry is opening its doors in 2016 May 05-06-07.
The event is organized by Expotim International Fair Organizations INC which is the most prominent organization company of the region with a proven track success record of 200+ organizations both domestically and internationally.
The event, held in the Istanbul International Congress and Exhibition Centre is one of the most prestigious venues of Turkey. It is located in the heart of the spectacular old city and is extremely accessible from both exhibitors and visitors point of view.
Being a gateway between Europe and Asia, Turkey brings additional value to pretty much all commercial activities and has always been one of the busiest trade routes throughout history. Besides the traditional and ancient recipes that flourish the Asia Minor’s cuisine, Turkey has a very solid and industrialized confectionery infrastructure which, in return, has experienced a tremendous growth in recent years and is now looking to triple the industry’s total worth by 2025.
As much as the Turkish Market may seem to be dominated by well rooted, highly organized local confectionery companies, it is not quite the case. For instance Yildiz Holding with its Ülker Brand experienced %15 market share loss in 2009 due to the successful penetration of new foreign companies into the market.
Growing Economy and increasing income allow everyday consumer to spend more on ‘luxury’ items such as chocolate, bakery etc. The recent statistics show that Turkish consumers tend to prefer imported confectionery items. Because of the stability and consistent positive economic developments in Turkey, it has become a new attraction point for international retail chains. Tesco, operating under the name ‘Kipa’, has now a solid positioning in the market and delivers competitive and innovative products to its customers, confectionery items are not exempt of this.
To sum up, Turkey is now a land of opportunities and the demand for new and quality confectionery and snack products is now a reality. T&T sweets and snacks exhibition will be the first and only confectionery sector specific event in Turkey to answer this demand. Confirmed domestic and international visitor numbers have already exceeded 4000.This is quite a big return considering there is still 10 months to the event and it is also very promising for the exhibitors to get spectacular feedback thereby successfully introducing their brands to the market.
