Our jiaogulan has award winning taste and some say it's the key ingredient to a long and healthy life. In the 1970's the Chinese government sponsored a study focused on the large number of people living to over 100 years old in certain provinces in Southern China. They discovered the centenarians had one thing in common. They all drank a tea brewed from a local herb called Jiaogulan. The locals called the modest mountain "the immortality herb. There are now three decades of research on Jiaogulan (scientifically known as Gynostemma pentaphyllum) and its effects on health. Our Jiaogulan was awarded the prize for best tasting tea by the Thai Ministry of Agriculture. It has a slightly sweet FLAVOR with spice in the overtones. White Mulberry tea is popular with seniors and diabetics and has been recommended in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Indian Ayurveda for centuries.
