What is Lotus leaf Extract Nuciferine?
Nuciferine is an alkaloid found within the plants Nymphaea caerulea and Nelumbo nucifera. It has a profile of action associated with dopamine receptor blockade. It induces catalepsy, it inhibits spontaneous motor activity, conditioned avoidance response, amphetamine toxicity and stereotypy. It is structurally related to apomorphine.

Nuciferine is the major lipid-lowering active ingredient in the nelumbo nucifera. Made from the dried and milled lotus leaves, the product is produced through a series of procedures, such as cellulose pretreatment, dilute hydrochloric acid diyestion, ultrasonic wave-aided exact, etc.
