Tomato Paste for export is mainly produced in Shihezi. Xinjiang is one of three world-famous tomato producing areas, and Shihezi is core area endowed with vast terrain, fertile and non-polluted soil, and average organic matters of 11.28-13.43g/kg, advantageous geography, and sufficient water yield including 80% underground water and 20% Tianshan snow water. Moreover, the climatic conditions are favorable:
the annual frost free period is about 150 days,the annual average sunshine duration is 2,700 hours,
and the sunshine duration in the crop growth period(April to October) is 2,200-2,300 hours, up to 63%sunshine rate. Main tomatoPaste products, of barrel packing, tonned wooden box packing, and tin can packing, are in the concentration of 36-38%, 30-32%, 28-30%, and 22-24%.
