The mission is to grow and market Banana as an export produce. There are two main plantations at BOTA and MUEA. BOTA plantation is located at Molyko in Buea sub-division and is the smaller of the two with only 190 hectares. Its management as at today is directly by DEL MONTE BOTA and the fruit is Export by DOLE,DELMONTE BOTA AND CHIQUITA .. Tiko plantation is managed by the DOLE,CHIQUITA AND DEL MONTE BOTA partnership. This partnership started in 1979 and has successfully operated up to today. In this partnership, Delmonte Chiquita and Dole provides the Technical Services, Marketing facilities and Finances while DELMONTE BOTA do the export, Manpower and Local logistics.
