PLA= Poly Lactic Acid       ( what is PLA ?)       

Poly Lactic Acid (PLA), widely known as commercial compostable material, is derived from renewable plant resource. The plant is firstly fermented and distillated to produce lactic acid. Then through series of process, such as refining, dehydration, polymerization, high-temp de-polymerization and finally polymerization, lactic acid is then converted into PLA resin.

We keep on improving and modifying the PLA resin all the past time. It is the key reason that our PLA products have better strength, higher heat-resistant and nicer appearance. Products made from normal PLA resin have a lower heat-resistant temperature then they could only be used for cold food. We even develop a modified PLA (C-PLA) resin which has high heat-resistant temperature. The products made from C-PLA resin could be used for hot food/drink. Their heat-resistant temperature could be up to 185°F.

 

Our PLA resin is OK Compost certified material. All of our PLA products are commercial compostable. They meet ASTM D6400 and EN13432 Standard for the Compostability. After use, they will be degraded into carbon dioxide and water by microorganisms in the soil, and do no harm to our environment. PLA is considered to be the best compostable material to replace plastic in many fields.
