Abrikon is a strong Alcoholic Drink made of apricot. Only carefully selected and ripe Apricots from Ararat Valley are used in the production of Abrikon. From the peeled and pitted fruit they extract juice, which is subjected to fermentation by means of special yeast. From the resulting mass they distill alcohol, which is then aged in oak barrels for several years. In the process of aging apricot tree barrels are also used. During the blending alcohols from different barrels are selected, in order to obtain the required flavor and aroma. One of the indispensable components of the mixture is the use of the water coming from Armenian mountain sources. In the production of Abrikon no flavorings and additives (flavor, color, etc.) are used, present in almost all other alcoholic beverages. After blending the drink is "rests" in barrels for at least 6 months, which ensures the harmonization of alcohol and water.
Abrikon’s bottle is a handmade work and is made of high quality Bohemian glass. The design of the bottle is conceived in such a way that it emphasizes the Armenian origin of Abrikon. Each bottle contains a miniature version of the legendary Mount Ararat. According to Bible, the Noah's ark escaped from the Flood and landed on the top of Ararat. Despite the fact that Ararat is located in Turkey, since ancient times the mountain has been considered to be a symbol of Armenia and the picture of Mount Ararat is present on the blazon of the Armenian SSR and of the independent Republic of Armenia.
The wax seal of the bottle and the original packaging emphasize the refinement of the product and the belonging of Abrikon to the class of exclusive drinks. Abrikon has its own philosophy. This is not just a drink for trivial drinking. Abrikon has been conceived as a unique opportunity to "taste" the history of the Armenian highlands, to feel and understand the events that took place over the millennia. Abrikon is recommended to use in Calvados type of tumbler, at a temperature close to body temperature. These are the optimal conditions for manifestation of the drink’s taste and aroma.
