CBA – 8858 is acetylated distarch adipate , modified food starch derived from Tapioca . It is a fine white powder, free from lumps and foreign matter with a neutral flavor , odor.
CBA – 8858 is prepared by treating starch with adipic anhydride and acetic anhydride to form white or nearly white powder, granules, or flakes (if pregeatinised) that improve stability at high temperatures. It is used as a thickener, stabilizer, emulsifier, and binder in foods
Applications
CBA – 8858 is a flexible thicker offered to apply in wide variety of food applications, such as dry mixes (cupcakes, muffins, cakes, cookies, and self-saucing puddings), frozen cakes, , flavored toppings and sauces, breakfast cereals, pies, custard powders, mayonnaises, salad dressings (eg caesar salad dressing), ket chup products and infant food. Also used in soups, vegetable and meat sauces, salad dressings, ketchup, and fruit concentrates, jams, marmalades, jellies, and purees, desserts, custards, pies and fillings, and instant beverages, dried foods, fermented milk, drinking yoghurt, flavored milks, whipped creams...

Application process and dosage :
Starch ( CBA – 8858 ) dosage: 5~10% of total weight , Put starch in the cold water with proper agitation to become even starch suspension, then pour the starch slurry to the soups, sauces, ketchup or meat process, heating to 95 o C holding 10~20 minutes.
Storage : 2 years if packed in closed bags and stored in a dry and cool environment.
