Aizu Takada Umeshu plum wine - Plump Plum Perfection!
Aizu Takada Umeshu Plum Wine
Plump Plum Perfection!
Umeshu plum wine is a strong candidate to be the next great taste sensation from Japan. Still relatively little known around the world, umeshu is for many drinkers a case of love at first sip. Aizu Takada Umeshu Plum Wine (approx. 18% ABV) is made by Suehiro Sake Co., Ltd, an award-winning brewer in Fukushima prefecture, northeast Japan.
The special plums used are a local variety called Aizu Takada. These plump plums are believed to be among the biggest in Japan -- many are bigger than golf balls -- and yet they have a small stone, meaning that the fruity flesh is extra-thick. Chilled or on the rocks, Aizu Takada Umeshu Plum Wine tastes just great. Try it!
