Alce Nero rice is grown by our members in the
traditionally most suitable zones of Piemonte region.
The range consists of different varieties: Baldo with its large, crystalline grain available in both the wholemeal version ideal for salads and white, Arborio (short grain), a large grained classicof Italian tradition, Nebbione, aged for 12 months to eliminate part of the moisture content, making itexceptionally good for risotto, Vialone Nano, an old variety considered the ancestor of Italian rices, with its small, round grain which lengthens during cooking, also ideal for risotto.
