This exceptional cuvee, not always produced, represents the fullest expression of pure Noble Rot. Each grape is harvested with extreme care, very often grape bygrape. It delivers an extraordinary complexity of aromas, but its splend our reveals itself in the mouth, with creaminess and a rare power, yet never with heaviness. This cuveeis known by all of the worldwide known oenologists, from Mr. Robert Parker,with his quote of 100/100 and his highest appreciation Exceptional, to MichelBettane, not forgetting Jancis Robinson. Appellation/Label: AOC MONBAZILLAC

Geology of soil and substructure: Substructure of chalkor marl, soil varied. Very chalky on high ground, clay/chalkon the midslopes, clay/sand on low ground.

Grape Variety: Generally 50% muscadelle and 50%semillon.

Age of Vines: Around 50 years

Farming Methods: Reasoned agriculture, only organic manureused. The domain is in the process of converting to organic farming.

Yield: From2 to 6 hl/ha

Harvest: Selective manual picks, sometime sup to 11, very often grape by grape. Aim to gather botrytised grapes at the stage where the botrytis surpasses the expression of the variety.
