We run a family business in a mountainous region in North Greece. We produce an unmatched quality of Apples, which are kept very fresh from October to May, not only because of the excellent microclimate of the area where our fields are spanning, but also because we preserve them in cooling chambers, the atmosphere of which is controlled by an art electronic system. We usually sell them from December to May, when there is shortage of apples in the market.
I) We produce the following varieties : Red Chief, Golden, Jonagold, Jongored and Firiki.
II) Packaging facilities : we use the following ways of packaging.
1. Bulk packaging of 15 kilos in wooden externally and cardboard internally box.
2. Bulk packaging of 15 kilos in cardboard box.
3. One layer of apples of 6-7 kilos in cardboard box.
4. Two layers of apples of 12 kilos in cardboard box.
III) Sizes of apples, which usually defines their quality and price.
1. Quality A: 0.75- 0.85 mm
2. Quality B: 0.65- 0.75 mm
