Aroma Ipoh white coffee - Hazelnut has very fragrant nut taste
The Chinese migrated to Malaysia - Ipoh in the early 19th century. They were exposed to Western coffee culture. However, most immigrants did not like the coffee bitter, sour and astringent taste. They tried mixing different types of Coffee Beans with milk and sugar; and reduced the temperature to roast coffee, etc. Finally their trial and error brought them coffee that was not bitter and sour. Due to the lower temperature of roasting the coffee bean, the bean colour is lighter than the usual coffee. Hence, it is called white coffee. It didn't take long for the white coffee to gain popularity and become the Malaysia specialty.
