The Barco Reale di Carmignano DOC is a RED WINE whose production is allowed in the provinces of Florence and Prato.
Area of production: Carmignano, near Prato and Florence
Vineyard: 2,4 hectares
Grape BLEND
Sangiovese: 70%, Canaiolo Nero: 20%, Cabernet Sauvignon: 10%.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
The grape are hand harvested. The maceration and the fermentation are conducted in steel tanks, for about twenty days. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is trasferred to oak casks to rest about six months. After bottling the wine is left to refine for 3 months.
ORGANOLECTIC FEATURES
Color bright and ruby red with purplish reflections.
Scent fruity, viny, flower scented with liquorice notice.
Flavor harmonius, well balanced, with pleasant flavor.
Good persistent finish.
