The constituents include - Bioflavonoids, Xanthones and benzophenones. The anti-microbial properties of this plant is attributed to these. This plant has shown both anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-viral qualities. In addition, the plant possesses anti-diabetic and anti-hepatotoxic qualities.
