Origin The apples of the type Boskoop for Gegenbauer Boskoop apple juice are harvested in Missingdorf, Lower Austria, by Gerald Götthans.
Fabrication
In this region of Lower Austria called “Weinviertel” the nights are cold and the days are pretty warm. Therefore, the taste of Boskoop apples is characterized by fine fruit acid (cold nights) und sweet sugar (warm days). To get best mature fruit, apples are harvested starting first on the south facing side of the tree and after approx. two weeks on the north facing side. Subsequently the apples are pressed in a very gentle way. This guarantees the best harmony in flavour.
