Altamura bread (The Protected Designation of Origin, whose acronym is P.D.O., is a mark covering agricultural products and foodstuffs, which are produced, processed and prepared in a given geographical area, using recognized know-how and thus acquiring unique properties. The bread which we are offering is a highly quality bread and its quality of the P.D.O. bread is guaranteed by the Protection Consortium, which was established in order to control, promote and enhance the P.D.O. origin. It also protects the bread from all forms of counterfeiting. It serves to ensure that the quality of the product and its reputation is kept up to standards throughout the process. It operates to guarantee product traceability. The stamp ensures that the key characteristics of the P.D.O. product are maintained. It is placed on the bread prior to baking or labeled on the bread packaging). The other ingredients: twice milled durum wheat semolina, water and salt.

Lifetime: The bread has a lifetime up to average of 1 week as it is made with mother dough and not only dough as the average bread, all organic certified ingredients. When fresh vacuum packed and preserved properly (freezer) the lifetime is up to 6 months.
