Description:
Vacuum-packed, sterilized and steam cooked product obtained via processing under controlled conditions of in natura carioca beans.
Ingredients:
Carioca beans, water, salt, and dehydrated onion, garlic and laurel.

Preparation:
Cut open one of the sides of the package with a pair of scissors. Press the package lightly to loosen the beans. Pour the contents in a bowl and add 1 cup (250mL) of boiling water for a 500g package and 1.8 liters of water for a 3kg package). Cook for 3 minutes. Use also to prepare soup, tutu, virado, tropeiro (drover beans) and baião de dois.
Serving Per-Person:
Prepare according to instructions. 500g yield 10/ 80mL servings; 3kg yield 57/ 80mL servings or 1kg yield 19/ 80mL servings. For Food Service consider 70g servings.
