Combination of aging in Sherry and Bourbon caks, and finishing in Maderia Drums. The spirit derives a honeyed almond fragrance from the bourbon barrels while the sherry butts provide it with balance and a rich suppleness. Following this long maturation, the malt whiskey is then married and vatted before it "finishes" its maturation in Madeira drums. This finishing in Madeira Drums produces a whiskey that has a stunning complexity on the palate.
