Capers, coming from the caperbush, also called Flinders rose, is a perennial plant that bears rounded, fleshy leaves and large white to pinkish-white flowers.
The plant is best known for the edible flower buds (capers), often used as a seasoning, and the fruit (caper berries), both of which are usually consumed pickled.
Capers are native to the Mediterranean area.
Our capers in brine are of the highest quality with slightly salty and sour flavor. Ideal to use in salads and many pasta dishes. They go very good with many kinds of fish and feta cheese.
