Gum base is made of food-grade polymers, plasticizers, softeners, texturizers and emulsifiers

 

 

among other ingredients, which impart their unique properties to chewing gum.  It is an insoluble

 

 

and non-nutritive, non-digestible, water-insoluble substance that enables a chewing gum to be
