CHICKEN Brazilian exports have increased 52.2% in the 5 first months in 2004, reaching US$ 972.02 millions, compared to US$607.9 millions obtained by the poultry industries in the same period in 2003. In volume, chicken export totalized 872.18 thousand tons from January to may this year, making 15.2% more in comparison to last year performance when the boarding of chicken have totalized 757.25 thousand tons.
