Chilean cherries are in strong demand due to their excellent quality and can be shipped by air, sea, or a combination of both. Chile exports over 4 million cartons of cherries each year.
The main variety, Bing, is a firm, juicy and dark red Cherry.
Unlike other southern hemisphere suppliers, Chile has an abundant cherry supply with fumigation-free protocols in place for markets such as Taiwan and China.
The most popular variety grown in Chile is Bing, available for shipment from November through to January.
Aozora can supply Jumbo and Super Jumbo sized product direct from renowned Chilean growers. Our supplier Copefrut is the largest exporter of cherries out of Chile.
Aozora also has an exemption to supply a small volume of cherries from New Zealand to the Korean market.
