Coconut shell activated carbon
This product is made of good quality coconut shell with perfect craftsmanship, black amorphous particles in
appearance, high hardness, well developed porous structure, big specific surface area, fast absorption rate,
easy regenerate and so on.
Coconut activated carbon is extensively used in the process of refining and bleaching of vegetable oils and
chemical solutions, water purifications, recovery of solvents, recovery of gold, in gas masks for protection
agains toxic gases, in filters for providing adequate protection against war gases/nuclear fall outs, ect.

According to the end use, we classified the coconut shell activated carbon to the following kinds:
1 Water purification. Full products specification, well perfect in dechlorination, algae removal, oxygen
absorption, catalyst carrier and so on. It is the first choice for water purifier, filter filler and other related
water purifier equipment.
2 Gas purification, oil or gas deodorant, catalyst carrier, amorphous broken particles, big specific
surface area with many microporous body. High absorption rate with good capacity, used for
high-purity gas, household, solvent recovery (Benzene, toluene, sulfur, carbon disulfide,
butane, ketones, e tc.
Production progress:
1 . Carbonizing the coconut shell to be charcoal under the process which is usually carried out
in mud-pits, brick kilns and metallic portable kilns .
2. Activating the coconut charcoal by reaction with steam at a temperature of 9 00 centigrade
to 1000 centigrade under controlled atmosphere in SLEP furnace .
3. Controlling the quality by the temperature which plays an important role in the process
of activation.
4. Crushing the coconut activated carbon to be different particle as requirement.
