Valve
A degassing valve is required for freshly roasted coffee. The aroma of Roasted coffee beans decreases as soon as they get in contact with oxygen. So an oxygen barrier is required. However, the beans are roasted and because of that process the beans emit carbon dioxide for at least 24 hours after they've been packaged. That gas needs to be able to escape from the packaging, otherwise it will burst open. A valve is the solution.
