Description:

Giant white corn is solely grown in the Andes Mountains of Peru, in a place known as The Sacred Valley of the Incas in Urubamba, Cuzco, Peru. The size of giant white corn varies from 12 to 15 mm in diameter. It is known for its exceptional big size with circular flan shape and floury soft texture. It is also rich in proteins, starch and sugars. Post-harvest, it is disinfected and then classified, calibrated and packed for export. The whole process is carried out under an adequate quality and sanitary control. As homogenous food, it fits for human consumption. It is a GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) free product. Furthermore, it has proteins, starch, sugar and greasy matter. It is also a very amylaceus, smooth, uniform corn with an exceptional size. In Peru, it is cooked in diverse ways, such as, stewed, toasted, in omelets, boiled, micro waved or roasted. Additionally, it is used like snacks, French fries, mix nuts, pop corn, etc.
