The main purpose of washing system of YDX is to purify the starch milk, to remove soluble and insoluble protein, and to remove present fine fibers.

 

 

principle

 

The starch milk proceeds through the washing system counter-currently to the flow of wash water.

 

The washing system consists of 6-12 stages. Each stage contains a number of cyclonettes, working in parallel and mounted in a housing named “the multicyclone”.

 

Each multicyclone has a feed connection, underflow connection and overflow connection.

 

The underflow contains the concentrated starch milk, the overflow entrains the soluble and fines or few starch. The underflow of a certain stage is together with the overflow of second to next stage transferred in this way to the feed pump of the intermediate stage.

 

In this way the starch milk enters the system in the first stage, is washed out step by step in the subsequent stages, and leaves the system via underflow of the last stage.

 

The overflow contains starch milk of low density plus the impurities to be removed.

 

This allows the wash water, which enters in the system ahead of the last stage, to leave the system via the overflow of the first stage. Thus carrying the impurities, such as Proteins and fine fibers out of the system                                                                                              

 

In the hot area, the temperature is high in the workshop, so add a cooler between the 6 ^th and 7 ^th stage, it will cool down the over flow, to avoid system temperature is too high which would cause the starch gelatinization and block the tubes.
