Quality, Safety & Traceability
Quality
From making the soil of tea plantation to processing tea leaf and packing it, we take strict measures for the quality of our green tea.
Raw leaf inspection
Leaves plucked are sent to crude tea processing plant for primary processing.
There are several inspection steps that are taken for removing unwanted substances.
There is NO chance for germs, bugs or other unwanted substances left among the tea leaves.
Water without any impure substance
1st inspection step for the tea processing is to steam the raw leaves. We use filtered water in our processing plant with 99.9% of impure substance removed before steaming the raw leaves.
We make the leaves totally foreign substance free by steaming it.
Storing in Cold Storage
Processing for finished green tea
We carefully pack the finished leaf with vacuum packing method to avoid the oxidation.
Safety
Our green tea leaf is processed from “Yabukita” brand green tea plant exclusively harvested in Shizuoka. We absolutely do NOT use tea leaf or packaging material that contains or materials that may have contacted allergen, bone-meal feed, poultry manure, genetically modified crop, additive, color former, or aroma chemical.
Traceability
We take strict safety measure (e.g. limiting the use of pesticide) on our 120 contracted green tea farmers.
The farmers thoroughly take quality and safety standard and follow it by NOT using unregistered pesticide.
The farmers are required to take cultivation record for their green tea plantation such as what type of fertilizer and pesticide they use.
We control and monitor the farmers NOT to spray any pesticide on the tea plantation and its nearby area where leaves are not plucked yet,
