Coconut has been the staple food of people in many parts of Asia and Pacific Islands. In India the product is manufactured by small-scale units scattered in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. From the survey it was revealed that a sizeable section of the middle class and upper class families residing in cities and towns in Kerala would prefer desiccated coconut powder, if readily available, to raw nuts.

 

Desiccated coconut powder is produced by using the white kernel part of the coconut. We bring coconuts from the farms near to Udupi District costal area and from north Karnataka area where the best quality coconuts are cultivated. The kernel part is prepared, cleaned and machined to the required size of the particles by using sophisticated machineries. It is dried, dehydrated to achieve the moisture at level below 2%.
