eryou42 is developed by Zhejiang Institute of Agriculture and Science, is a three-line hybrid rice new culitvar coming from hybridization between Zhenhui42 and er 32A. It was examined and approved by Crop Registration Committee of China in June, 2005.
eryou42 is characterized as elite yield performance, good quality, high resistance to rice blight and blast disease. The average yield was 7868.4kg/ha in field trial in 2004. It rated first place in yield increase in the national field trial of indica rice in 2004 and was recommended as a three-line variety with breakthrough in increaseing yield.
