Property:
A white crystalline powder having a characteristic odor and a sweet, fruitlike flavor in dilue solution. One gram dissolves in about 55 ml of water, in 10 ml of alcohol, in 17 ml of propylene glycol and 5 ml of chloroform. It melts at about 90 o C
