Mother’s Garden Fresh Priorat Extra VIRGIN OLIVE OIL is bursting with flavour and goodness, but don’t just take our word for it.
It is featured in Delia’s book How To Cheat At Cooking (Ebury Press, February 2008) and endorsed with her 'Delia's cheat ingredient' logo. We also won a gold star in the 2008 Great Taste Awards.
We only sell cold-pressed extra virgin arbequina oil from the most recent harvest (UK mainland only at the moment). And we tell you where and when the juice was taken from the fruit.
We only work with local award-winning village cooperative mills, carefully selecting the best oil from each annual harvest.
And how will you know it is fresh?
For you and your family to appreciate the full taste and health benefits of what is essentially a fresh fruit juice we always tell you when the olives were harvested and when the oil was bottled. All the oil is carefully stored at the village mill until we order it, and our aim is for this oil to get from the mill to customers kitchen with the least delay. The flavour and health benefits of olive oil deplete over time - so the fresher the better!
The olives are hand-picked and pressed within 24 hours, resulting in a smooth oil with very low acidity and a well-balanced fragrance and flavour.
