Region Description
Climate is temperate and characterized by a strong influence of the Atlantic Ocean. Winters are cool, rainy and long. Summers are hot, though softened by the presence of winds from the west and northwest, more common in regions near the sea. Best suited to vineyard soils are thetypical "clays", with more or less clay content of limestone, creating the best grapes for fine wines soils.
