Flow-K? is a food grade potassium bicarbonate product composed of a unique, proprietary flow aid system which assures excellent storage and handling properties.
Flow-K? performs exceptionally well as a replacement for sodium bicarbonate in the leavening system for cakes, muffins and cookies. When desired, sodium levels can be altered by potassium bicarbonate replacement with little difference in overall quality and flavor of the baked product. When substituting potassium bicarbonate in a formula, 19% more potassium bicarbonate is required to yield equivalent carbon dioxide release to that of sodium bicarbonate.
