The gastronomic myth of an anonymous, unordered, rough, dry, strong orujo is a thing of the past, capable at times of finishing off the courageous drinker. It is true that there were good ones, although it was becoming more and more difficult to find them. And the noble trade of traveling eau-de vie sellers/producers has started to disappear, replaced by industrial production. However, part of this thousand-year-old art, passed down from father to son, has been preserved in the new Galician orujos.
