1. 5-3 million artichoke heads available starting in December. Final quantity depends upon the size of Artichoke head you need.
We are assisting 15 artichoke farmers with newly minted Global Gap/Eurogap certification. They will have a brand new cooling, sorting and packing facility this year and can grow and harvest to your specifications and pack to your specifications, but we would need an expression of interest or even a Foward Contract soon. The farmers have professional assistance from the EU and US government to ensure quality and consistency. This is a serious group.
Production will be 1.5 million very large heads or more than 3 million small-to-medium sized this year. Next year additional farmers will complete Eurogap and the exportable number will climb to about 5 million.
We are looking for a long term relationship and would even consider setting up a processing facility to process locally if there is interest.
