Until 2008 it has been totally impossible to get fresh mangosteen from Thailand to America, but we are now able to offer this delicious fruit fresh to your door anywhere in USA. The fruit chosen from export is clean, fresh and premium in every respect. Unfortunately the cost is very high, mainly due to shipping. You get 2 lbs of fruit in a small net sack, approximately 12 fruit.
Fresh mangosteen is best kept at room temperature, and should be consumed within 1 week after you get it. On the outside box it states "irradiated fruit" and we understand that the USDA (plus agencies in other countries) approved this method of treatment in order to protect the environment. .
At checkout use "$0.00 Order Fresh Produce" shipping option (not UPS Ground), if you order includes only mangosteen. We will upgrade to Air Shipment with no added charge. Product of Thailand.
The 2009 season started in late April, and we are off to a very good start. We've shipped on 5 different weeks thus far, and quality continues to improve.
Right now we are taking orders for shipment within the next 3 weeks. That will be the final shipment of the 2009 season. We regret that we can not confirm an exact shipment Date but it should be before mid-July.
