fresh pineapples dont actually come from trees. They come from herb plants that grow up to 3-5 feet tall and spread out about 2-4 feet. fresh pineapple has a rough skin that is often referred to as its shell marked with criss-cross diamond pattern and a crown of leaves at the stem end on top. The fruits inside is very sweet. In Malaysia we have two major varieties for export market. They are N36 variety and Josapine variety.
