Hicaz is grown mainly in Mediterranean Coast expecially around Antalya. Aegean and Southeastern Anatolian regions are also grown areas. In recent years Hicaz became the most exported pomegranate in Turkey. It has red-yellow rind and dark red arils with sweet-sour taste. The seed hardness is intermediate. It's available from September to February. The size of the fruit is medium to large. Very juicy.
