I’m working earnestly to grow strawberries.

So I would like you to taste them. I’m sure you will find that my strawberries are different from the ones you have tasted before.

Policies

1. Placing a high value on the soil cultivation
   I prepare good soil carefully before planting seedlings so that the roots can spread out vigorously.
   
   
2. Preparation on seedlings
   In Japanese, it is often said that strawberry cultivation is “Nae-hachi-bu.”
   It means that 80 percent of the yield is dependent on the quality of the seedlings.
   I don’t put solid fertilizer on the soil when I prepare seedlings, but instead of that, I adjust the soil with liquid fertilizer while measuring the amount of nitrate nitrogen.
   
   

III. Water and temperature management
I personally believe the growth of strawberry plants depends on the management of water and temperature. As for the temperature of my greenhouses, I set it 28 degrees Celsius in the morning, 25 degrees Celsius for afternoon, 15 degrees Celsius in the evening until midnight, and 8 degrees Celsius from midnight to dawn.
I give a lot of water to my strawberry plants. If the plants don’t get enough water, I believe they would get stressed.
I mainly use organic fertilizer, but I believe chemical fertilizer would be necessary to adjust the taste of strawberries.

IV. Ecological farming method
I have introduced an ecological farming method.
As my farm is located in a temperate region, strawberry plants can be grown without using any oil burning heaters. Of course, burning the oil would increase its yield, but I prefer to grow strawberries without emitting much of CO2.
