Grapeseed oil is a kind of semi-dry oil containing unsaturated fatty acid whose content accounts for 90 per cent of the total fatty acid. Unsaturated fatty acid, with linoleic acid making up more than 75 per cent of its content, is found to be one of the vegetable oils with highest content of linoleic acid at present and has the function of reducing serum cholesterol; it also contains OPC, a substance with the strongest capacity of antioxidation (its antioxidant activity is 20 times that of vitamin c and 50 times that of vitamin E) and removing free radical, which can prevent many kinds of diseases like cardiovascular diseases and avoid senescence by nourishing skins; it contains linolenic acid, vitamin A, E, K and P and minerals.
